FB25 Subaru Engine
Subaru''s FB25 was a 2.5-litre horizontally-opposed (or ''boxer'') four-cylinder petrol engine. Effectively replacing the EJ253, the FB25 engine was a member of Subaru''s third generation ''FB'' boxer engine family which also included the FB20, FA20D, FA20E and FA20F engines.The FB25 engine first offered in Australia in the 2011 Subaru SH.II Forester.
FA20E and FA20F Subaru Engines
The FA20E and FA20F engines have a cast aluminium alloy cylinder head with chain-driven double overhead camshafts per cylinder bank. The four valves per cylinder – two intake and two exhaust – were actuated by roller rocker arms which had built-in needle bearings that reduced the friction that occurred between the camshafts and the roller rocker arms.

Subaru''s EJ251 and EJ252 were 2.5-litre horizontally-opposed (or ''boxer'') four-cylinder petrol engines. For Australia, the EJ251 engine was first introduced in the Subaru BE/BH Liberty in 1998 and subsequently offered in the BH Outback, GD/GG Impreza RS and Subaru SG Forester. For the Subaru BL/BP Liberty and BP Outback, the EJ251 was replaced by the EJ252 engine.
